For many children, having their very own school cone is a very special moment on their journey to becoming schoolchildren. That’s why our pre-schoolers, together with their parents, had the opportunity to design their very own school cones here at our daycare center.

With plenty of creativity, their own ideas, and, of course, active support from their parents, they cut, glued, crafted, and decorated. The result was a wide variety of school cones—as unique as the children themselves.

In addition to the shared crafting experience, the focus was above all on the anticipation of this new chapter in their lives. Because with every small step, it becomes more and more real for our pre-schoolers: Their time at preschool is slowly coming to an end, and the great adventure of school is drawing ever closer. 

Until then, the finished back-to-school bags will, of course, remain well hidden from the children’s curious eyes. They won’t make their grand entrance until our traditional sleepover and farewell party for pre-schoolers. There, they’ll be ceremoniously presented to the children and, year after year, remain a very special part of the evening.
