The Secret Santa Team

Our highly motivated and well-trained specialists focus on the needs of the children and provide them with targeted support in their diverse learning processes. The Wichtel team looks after the children entrusted to them in small groups with an excellent child-to-staff ratio, which is significantly higher than the legally stipulated ratio, thus enabling particularly individual and reliable support.

The integration of different disciplines in the multi-professional team ensures a holistic approach and comprehensive, high-quality care and support for the children. In addition, the children benefit from a diverse and varied learning environment created by the various skills and offerings of the specialists.

Educational goals and learning opportunities are aligned with the orientation plan for education and care in daycare facilities for children in Baden-Württemberg. This ensures that the Wichtel children are cared for and supported individually, taking into account current educational concepts.

Legal framework

The employees of the "die Wichtel" daycare center work in accordance with the following legal provisions:
  1. Child and Youth Welfare Act (SGB VIII / KJHG) of the Federal Republic of Germany - - in particular the inclusion of §8a (http://www.sozialgesetzbuch-sgb.de/sgbviii/8a.html)
  2. Child Day Care Act (KiTaG) of the State of Baden-Württemberg
  3. Regulation for Day Care Facilities (KiTa-VO) of the State of Baden-Württemberg
  4. Orientation plan for education and upbringing in daycare facilities for children in Baden-Württemberg, as amended

Teamwork among educational staff

The entire team is committed to maintaining and further improving the quality of our childcare services. In weekly small group meetings, new ideas, suggestions (including those from parents), and any difficulties that may arise are discussed in detail. The intensive cooperation between all those involved that this promotes also facilitates the joint planning and implementation of cross-group events.

On four quality days per year, when no childcare takes place, the employees devote themselves intensively to a wide variety of topics. Legal, educational, and reflective topics are addressed in group work, discussion rounds, and self-study. Using the methods of the National Criteria Catalog (according to Tietze 2007 et al), everyday educational practice is reflected upon and new quality goals are set based on professional guidance. These goals are evaluated and adjusted at regular intervals.
