Our children from the Red and Green Groups took the bus and train to the Plappermaul Puppet Theater and were swept up in an exciting story with “The Meerkat’s Adventure – Stronger Together!”

While the meerkat parents were out looking for food, Aki, Suki, and Hugo stayed behind at the burrow. But when an argument broke out and Suki set off on her own, things suddenly turned dangerous: an evil red snake appeared.

It quickly became clear: Some challenges are hard to overcome alone—but together, very different animals can contribute their strengths. That’s how the meerkats, the warthog, and the bird managed to defeat the danger together.

Particularly heartwarming was the message about the warthog, who was taken in by the meerkat family and long believed he was a meerkat himself. When he finally learned that he was a warthog, one thing remained clear: He belongs to the family and is accepted and loved just as he is.

The story continued to captivate our children even after the theater visit. Back at the daycare, the meerkats’ safety strategy was reenacted over and over again:
“No danger from above, no danger from below, no danger from the right, no danger from the left!”

A wonderful theater experience about solidarity, belonging, and the strength that comes from being different.
